Job Overview


To efficiently schedule production lines to approved headcount routing standards. Prepares and tracks production personnel training and the attendance control records.




§  Ensure that the weekly production line staffing schedules conform with production bake sheet schedule and that all departments are staffed at approved routing headcount numbers

§  Tracks all training records including monthly mandatory Safety Training, Quality training and functional training

§  Ensures that training leads and trainers complete daily evaluation on all employees for first ten days, then weekly evaluations during probationary period.

§  Submits weekly requests for training pay to Line Supervisors for approval and submittion to HR every Friday (or as otherwise designeated)

§  Reviews time sheets on a daily basis for missing punches, vacation, sick days, floating holidays and bereavement time.

§  Log all messages to Employee Call-In Line and report tardies and absences to appropriate supervisor.

§  Maintains records and issues required discipline documents under the Attendance Control Policy, including points balances, sick day balance and vacation balance

§  Issues annual vacation bidding calendars for annual December vacation bidding

§  Interfaces with Production and Human Resources to identify staffing needs and open positions.

§  Maintains mandatory HCAAP/GMP annual training requirements.

§  Maintains and ensures all operator annual training review documents are signed

§  Maintain and Update Plant Cross Training Matrix.






Education and/or on-the-job experience needed

§  High school diploma required with at least three years scheduling experience. A college degree is preferred with at least two years relevant experience.  

Industry-specific knowledge, skills & abilities needed

§  Consumer Products Goods Industry - Knowledge of food manufacturing facilities and personnel scheduling preferred

Functional/Job-Related knowledge, skills & abilities needed

§  Data Gathering & Analysis - Ability to read and interpret analytical reports

§  Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks in a work environment that has frequent interruptions

§  Strict adherence to confidentiality

§  Personal Computer Skills - Ability to use computer software systems

§  May require extended hours on Thursdays to complete weekly schedule
