Job Overview

The eCommerce and Shopper Marketing Manager is responsible for executing the eCommerce growth strategy, including digital shelf management. This position will also manage investments by customer in support of ecommerce, and partner with the Hostess Brands’ media team on executing a joint media plan. The eCommerce and Shopper Marketing Manager will partner heavily across the Hostess Brands’ sales teams to communicate and customize marketing efforts and consumer insights work down to the customer and channel level to deliver back profitable growth and key account specific learning.

Responsibilities

eCommerce:

  • Leads collaboration as the subject matter expert for eCommerce content syndication, benchmarking, publication, and reporting ongoing performance.
  • Engineers solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment with empowerment to create solutions.
  • Leverages experience with Salsify, Syndigo, Profitero, etc. or similar content syndicators to deliver industry leading capabilities and an unparalleled shopping experience across retailer platforms.
  • Collaborates with Brand teams to create enhanced content and deploy enhanced content as retailer platforms continue to evolve.

 

Shopper Marketing:

  • Supports and executes customer specific and channel marketing plans.
  • Aligns national media and eCommerce investments to deliver optimized results, while positioning Hostess Brands as a strategic partner from the perspective of our retail customers.
  • Manages customized customer marketing requests in partnership with sales operations and coordinates the creation of required content and tactical planning.
  • Prioritizes program requests and budget recommendations for Shopper Marketing activities.
  • Aligns Brand and Retailer objectives to deliver volume and commitments made by the Sales teams.
  • Manages trade show creative design and trade show award submissions.
  • Partners with the sales leadership and sales operations to ensure top initiatives are represented, and the Hostess Brands’ booths visual reflect our brand and corporate design.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of direct marketing experience in partnership with sales required 
  • 2+ years of experience in content management is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging shopper insights and marketing to drive business results with customers preferred
  • Previous experience in Retailer Media Networks is preferred
  • 10-20% travel required

 Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven knowledge of CPG, Retailer systems and Digital Shelf Basics
  • Working knowledge of varied retailer requirements around eCommerce content and are familiar with enterprise PIM/DAM systems.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and working in eCommerce, Digital Content, and PIM platforms
  • Strong collaboration skills are essential in order to build a strong partnership with sales and customer teams.
  • Excellent communication and solution engineering skills
  • Willingness to do more than one’s own part while executing with excellence in partnership with internal cross functional teams and external agency partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and partners across a large product catalog and diverse customer base
