Job Overview

The Sales Analyst Dollar Channel supports the Hostess Dollar Channel business by providing data analysis and support with the customer, merchandising, operations, and opportunities.  The position requires extensive sales analytics and will interact with many groups across the organization as well as the customer.  The Sales Analyst leverages data analytics to uncover opportunities and develop actionable recommendations to drive category growth and elevate Hostess’s relationship with the customer. 

Responsibilities

  • Run customized reports and analyze the data to support current business needs including weekly, monthly, and year to date trends
  • Maintain and summarize standard reports to track business
  • Identify opportunities and improve business with customer and internally

 

Sales Analyst

  • Run and report weekly sales via 10/10 Data reporting tool
  • Assist in annual forecasting process
  • JBP / line review preparation
  • Attend buyer meetings as needed

 

Retail Development

  • Own retail alerting and the retail alerting process / feedback loop
  • TR3 experience a plus
  • Track store / item level promotion lift and retail impact
  • Store Audits as needed (some travel required)

 

Category Growth

  • Run and summarize weekly / monthly Nielsen reporting templates
  • Mine and develop insights that provide proactive vies of the category and shopper trends
  • Back up category director as secondary contact
  • Assist in POG development
  • Provide input into customer category strategies and plan

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ or more years of relevant experience required in CPG sales / category analytics required
  • Previous sales analytic experience with Walmart preferred including experience with 10/10 data and scorecards required
  • Previous syndicated retail scanning and panel data experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business discipline or analytics

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced Excel experience (macros, pivot tables, advanced chart, and formula building)
