Job Overview

Sr. Director – Finance will be the key finance lead responsible for the development and leading the brand and sales finance teams that connect our commercial and operational planning activities into financial insights and actions. Sr. Director – Finance will be the key financial partner for the S&OP process, directly tied to our brand and sales strategies.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Build a cross functional operating cadence with FP&A, commercial and operations finance, and all business stakeholders to support the full brand strategy on all key business decisions requiring financial insights (customer business plans, price pack architecture, LTO, innovation support)
  • Develop insights that intersect our pricing and revenue strategies with the customer business plans, consumer trends and competitive insights
  • Build, develop and lead finance team for total P&L management, S&OP integrated financial planning, strategic and annual planning, commercialization, and marketing support
  • Accelerate the career growth of Finance talent with proper coaching/developing/mentorship, impactful engagement, and effective retention
  • Deliver and sustain a vibrant and healthy Finance culture where Hostess Brands values and behaviors are advanced and embraced daily
  • Develop leading practices on driving margin insights (revenue through costs) consistently across the entire company consumer brands portfolio
  • Be a leading finance partner for the commercial and operations finance department, collaboratively driving insights and analytics into monthly, quarterly, and annual results. Focused on forward-looking, actionable insights
  • Manage, support, and develop a team of finance managers to deliver financial results and functional objectives

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in finance or accounting roles
  • Finance leadership with expanding spans and layers of accountability and responsibility
  • Robust experience as an effective Finance leader with a distributed team
  • Demonstrated ability to delegate for development, while still being able to perform advanced analytics when needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven finance leadership experience within the CPG industry (preferred)
  • Demonstrated P&L management and margin insights
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate findings into actionable solutions
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders and business partners
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines in a fast-paced organization.
  • Advanced modeling: experience with incorporating complex spreadsheets and large data sets into system-driven reporting and analytics
  • Self-directed individual who works well with teams functionally and cross-functionally
  • Detail-oriented focus to ensure accuracy
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Travel up to 20% on an annual basis

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma or similar credentials preferred
